MARYLAND LEGISLATIVE ASIAN-AMERICAN & PACIFIC-ISLANDER CAUCUS, INC.

The Maryland Legislative Asian-American and Pacific-Islander Caucus was created in January 2015, and officially reorganized as a caucus in October 2016. The Caucus seeks to engage the Asian-American and Pacific-Islander communities in Maryland, and ensure that their legislative and policy goals are represented within the General Assembly.

Maryland is home to over 400,000 members of the AAPI community. The Governor’s Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs engages, educates, and empowers the AAPI community in Maryland. It also advises government, advances solutions, serves as a resource to ensure the economic, educational, health, and social well-being of Asian American and Pacific Islander constituents.
